Important Note

The aims of the School’s recruitment policy are as follows:

  • to ensure that the best possible staff are recruited on the basis of their merits, abilities and suitability for the position;
  • to ensure that all job applicants are considered equally and consistently;
  • to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, recommendations and guidance including the statutory guidance published by the Department for Education (DfE), Keeping children safe in education (September 2023) (KCSIE); and Disqualification under the Childcare Act 2006 (DUCA and any guidance or code of practice published by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS);

All applicants undergo a rigorous reference verification process that is designed to ensure the safety and security of our students. We conduct police checks for the preceding 10-year period and make calls to their references to verify that the applicant is an individual of good standing. All staff must submit local and home country police records that are no older than 6 months to both the school and the Embassy/Consulate, if they are applying from abroad.
