Prepares students for Cambridge IGCSE core subjects and guided subject choices for individual interests and future pathways.
ASIS connects Cambridge standards with Thai Language, Thai Culture and Thai History as part of the school curriculum.
Grades 7–8 Secondary 1–2: What Students Study
Secondary 1 (Grade 7) and Secondary 2 (Grade 8) follow the Cambridge Lower Secondary pathway with core academic subjects and a broad foundation programme.

Grades 9–10 Secondary 3–4: IGCSE Core Programme
Secondary 3 (Grade 9) and Secondary 4 (Grade 10) prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE learning and assessment.

English as a First Language or English as a Second Language, according to student level.

IGCSE Mathematics
Core or Extended Mathematics, according to ability and readiness.

IGCSE Combined Science
A required science pathway for all students.

Thai Language, Thai Culture and Thai History
Continues as part of the school curriculum for Thai and non-Thai students.
Students then add IGCSE elective subjects and School-Based / Honours subjects to build a suitable learning pathway.

IGCSE Elective Subjects
Students select 1–3 IGCSE elective subjects. These subjects follow the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum and may lead to Cambridge IGCSE examinations.

Subject Choices School-Based / Honours Subjects
Students select 1–5 School-Based / Honours subjects. These subjects provide additional learning opportunities with less content and intensity than full Cambridge IGCSE subjects.
Available subject areas
Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Literature in English, Chinese – First Language, Chinese – Second Language, Mandarin Chinese, Geography, History, Business Studies, Computer Science, ICT, Art & Design, Music and Physical Education (PE).
Important rule A student cannot select the same subject as both an IGCSE Elective and a School-Based / Honours subject.
This keeps each student’s programme balanced and avoids duplication.
For Grades 9–10 How Subject Choices Work
All students study the IGCSE core subjects. They then choose a combination of IGCSE electives and School-Based / Honours subjects.

Learning Pathway Assessment and Progression
The secondary programme supports students step by step: foundation learning in Grade 7–8 and IGCSE preparation in Grade 9–10.
Secondary 2 (Grade 8) Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint is used as an external standardised assessment at the end of the Lower Secondary stage.

Secondary 4 (Grade 10) Cambridge IGCSE assessment is used according to Cambridge IGCSE requirements, formats and reporting standards.
